CAG NFL LXI: week #7 of 14

The Ravens made the short trip to South Philly to face off against the Eagles.

The Eagles were the beneficiary of early mistakes by rookie QB Lamar Jackson as they found themselves up 21-7 after 2 interceptions.  Jackson showed maturity beyond his age as he kept himself composed and thus, kept his teammates composed as they were able to find rhythm on offense clawing and scratching their way back to tie the game 21-21 in the 4th.

After a deflated drive by the Eagles, they found themselves stuffed again on what seemed to be their last try to win the game.  Punter Cam Johnston had a spectacular kick pinning the Ravens down to their own 3 with 24 seconds left and 2 timeouts.  After only a 1 yard gain, the Ravens decided to play a mind game and throw the ball against a weak secondary and a stacked 7-man box.  This did not trick safety Rodney McLeod, however, as he was able to undercut the route across the middle intercepting the ball and returning to Baltimore's 7 setting up Jake Elliott to kick the game-winning FG.  Philadelphia wins 24-21!

POG: The safety tandem of Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod who combined for 9 tackles, 1 assist, 2 passes defensed, and 2 interceptions

Great game @tjspeaks!  Always a pleasure playing you.  Like others in the league - a chess match the whole time!
