  1. *BUMP*....Haven't been on CAG in a VERY long time. Just wanted to do a refresher. See who has this game or not.
  2. Not reading but listening to this on Audible. Great scifi feel to it.
  3. I'm interested. Although not a big fan of ol' Tom he does do a good action/thriller/scifi movie. Enjoyed Minority Report and War of Worlds was ok.
  4. Yeah I saw that. Reminded me of Undead Nightmare from Red Dead Redemption. I'll look it up
  5. I've been a huge fan even before the first AC1 came out. Read a lot about it online and watching of rumor vids. In AC one the gameplay was very VERY repetitive but what kept it going was the beautiful visuals and the story line imo. AC 3 started production since right after ACII was completed. There has been 2 games since then not including the side stories. The gameply has progressively gotten better along with the repetitiveness slowly fading away. Brotherhood and Revelations play very similar in style. That 2 years or so gave the dev team a lot of time to fine tune AC. AC3 is by far the best in the series. The combat mechanics imo have improved IF youre familiar with AC. The last few games you were more of a defensive fighter with countering being your main source of applying the killing blow. With AC3 that mechanic of countering is still there, but more and more I find myself being more of the aggressor. The harpoon-like weapon allows me to pull people in, the running assassination makes for a interesting "fire starter" in battles, and the chain killing is less over powered. There are more AI that are harder to just kill right away with the chain kills which really plays on "being the aggressor". Breaking down defenses before the killing blow. I admit the whole shooting is terrible. Aiming is hard and I dont like how the shot cancels itself with the bow. Anyone else having issues with this? I just use the harpoon weapon as my secondary. I think I've used the gun like once lol. All in all this game kept the familiarity of the prior games but still reinvents the franchise. For example, I've found myself spending a couple of hours just roaming the different areas doing side missions, hunting, parkouring, and a whole bunch of other things not part of the main story. I'm only about 20% done and I play on average about 4 hours a day lol. The collectibles are much better because they have a significant effect on your economics. In prior games they felt like a chore to me and really weren't that rewarding. This time missions are involved and you can almost be self sustaining for a lot of things you would typically buy at a shop like the other games. ANYWAY...I could keep going on forever about how much I love this series and especially this game. I'll spare you guys lol. Hope you like the game though. ***SPOILER ALERT*** If you havent played the other games but want a quick recap on the story, IGN release a good vid that goes over the story from AC1-AC:Revelations http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/10/26/assassins-creed-in-5-minutes
  6. I really liked it. Kinda put things into perspective. Almost defines my views on religion, politics, etc. To be honest it is very hard for me to believe in an absolute "truth". This universe is so vast and there are too many variables to really know or claim to be certain of anything.
  7. That was great! I wish people would see the differences in the devices and you and I. We don't sell the iPhone so i constantly have to tell people the differences and to really do their homework before making a move or decision on a device. My opinion on iOS is almost identical. I love the hardware and look, but the customization kills me. Keep up the great reviews. I enjoyed it.
  8. I just wanted to share this. It was an interesting read. I became interested when I wanted to know the origins of the famous phrase from Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. Check it out. http://projectneurophant.com/Contributors/Athiel/Nothing_True.htm
  9. So successfully loaded up Jelly Bean to my GS2. No issues except bluetooth doesnt work but i dont use that anyway. Finally got the ability to tether my device w/o having to pay extra for the feature. The UI is snappy and quick. Just wanted to drop in to this thread. Curious to if anyone else has done anything to their devices.
  10. I want to put Jelly Bean on my SII so bad but the ROMs are just too buggy right now. Its no big deal I guess when the Note II is coming out soon. meh
  11. Rooting will void the manufacturer warranty so if youre not careful you can brick your phone. That being said you just have to find a trusted source and do lots of research before initiating anything. http://www.xda-developers.com/ is a pretty trusted site. The guy I get my roms and tutorials from pulls a lot of his info from XDA. Depending on your phone there are possibilities to "unroot" the device and process manufacturer warranty exchange no problem. Speed, do you have the full loss/stolen/damage and lifetime warranty OR just the loss/stolen/damage?
  12. NEW EPISODE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Looking forward to the review. Im curious. I was reading forums about the iPhone and surprisingly there is a lot of neutral feelings for the iPhone. A lot of comments were about how the iPhone 5 although very good in so many ways, will soon be out done by other manufacturers in terms of performance, specs, etc. Its really not hard to determine this though. It's been less than a year after the original release of the GSII when the GSIII came out. The GS4 is already rumored on the web. lol That being said these other manufacturers like HTC, Samsung, Motorola(Droid devices), etc. know how much pull the iPhone has so its understandable that they would consistently try to one up the iPhone. On paper they will. It's been done before. I dont know. The ease and stability of the iOS will hold fast for now. People like the fact they can buy a product and have it for a couple to few years before the next model releases. January my employee upgrades come and the new Galaxy Note II releases soon. That "phablet"(phone + tablet) as my friend calls it is ridiculous. 5.5 inch screen, quad core processor, Jelly Bean os for android, etc. CANT WAIT to hack that thing lol
  14. So I watched this the other day and WOW. I'm hooked. Great premise and great scenery. The pilot was good so I'm hoping that this show will continue to suck me it. Check it out. "Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. Fifteen years earlier, an unknown phenomenon disabled all advanced technology on the planet, ranging from computers and electronics to car engines, jet engines, and batteries. People were forced to adapt to a world without technology. Due to the collapse of public order, many areas are ruled by warlords and militias. The series focuses on the Matheson family, who possess a special flash drive that is the key to not only finding out what happened fifteen years ago, but also a possible way to reverse its effects. However, they must elude various enemy groups who want to possess that power for themselves.[5]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolution_(TV_series) >http://youtu.be/JwfCRAtkYEI
